Nollywood and this July AfricaMagic Entertainment celebrates her as the star of Uche Jombo Month.

The Actress
Jombo’s story reads like the typical Hollywood actor profile: a talented performer from an early age, a chance encounter saw her land her first role in the film Visa to Hell. She has since starred in over 60 movies and become one of the continent’s most respected celebrities.

Awards
While she readily admits that success did not come easily, Jombo has garnered a notable list of accolades that include Best Actress awards from AfroNolly Group in 2008 in London and The City People Entertainment Awards as well as the Nollywood and African Film Critics’ Awards in North Carolina.

She has also been honoured with a Life Changers Award as Nollywood Personality of the Year in the United Kingdom; a Humanitarian Award for Haiti in New York as well as an Abia State Honours Award 2010.

Domestic bliss
Jombo recently celebrated her first anniversary after marrying US-based businessman Kenney Rodriguez in a private beach wedding on the Island of Puerto Rico.

The Businesswoman
After conquering the acting world, Jombo took on roles as producer and film director giving us gems such as Broken SilenceMisplaced, and the Damage trilogy – an advocacy project made up of three films (Damage, My Life My Damage, My Country Their Damage).

Not only is she the founder and owner of Uche Jombo Studios, she is also a director at the Royal Arts Academy, where they train young actors and future film makers.

The Ambassador
Jombo relishes her profile as a role model and is an ambassador for several organisations such as the United Nations, SAGE and the African Children Talent Discovery Foundation.
